The Officers and Members of Chester Township Fire Company regretfully announce the passing of Dianne Majeski. Dianne was an honorary member of the company and the mother of the late honorary member Lenny Majeski. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers in there time of grief. She will be missed.
Parkside Fire Company 100 years of service
Today, The Officers and Members of the Chester Township Fire Company attended the Delaware County Firemen’s Parade, hosted by Parkside Fire Company, Station 45. Company 47 brought home 2 trophies. Rescue 47 won 1st Place for Best Appearing Rescue. Command 47 won 1st Place for Best Appearing Command. We would like to thank the DCFA and Parkside Fire Company for allowing us to share this day with them.
Early Morning Vehicle Fire
Company 47 and Engine 81 were dispatched to the 2600 block of Green St for a vehicle fire. Squad 47 responded with three. Squad 47 went on location with the vehicle fully involved. Crews from 47 and E81 placed three handlines in service to get fire under control. Squad 47 remained on location until vehicle was removed. Great job to FIrefighters C.Swanson and J. Wagner for efforts on this incident. Job Well done!!!
Rip Uncle Bob
The Officers and Members of Chester Township Fire Company regretfully announce the passing of “Uncle Bob”. Uncle Bob was the uncle of junior member Justin Wagner. Please keep Justin and his family in your thoughts and prayers in there time of grief. He will be missed.

Accident with Fire Reported
Yesterday at 1:04 pm Companies 47, 52 , MICU45, MICU82, AMB 52, medic 100 responded to an accident with fire. Crews arrived on scene and discovered a two vehicle accident. One of the vehicles had a small fire coming from the engine compartment. The fire was quickly controlled. The scene was put under control within a half hour.
Chester Township’s Movie Night
Last night Rescue 47 and Utility 47, with a crew of four, participated in the Township’s movie night held at the Township Building. The crew had the trucks on display for all the kids and residents and answered any questions they had. Rescue 47 provided lighting for the event. Thanks for the invite!
Rest in Peace, Captain Ralph Marquis
The Officers and Members of the Chester Township Fire Company would like to extend our condolences to the Brooklawn Fire Company, in the recent loss of Captain Ralph Marquis. Captain Marquis was an active life member who served the Brooklawn Fire Company for more than 18 years.
Carbon monoxide alarm
This morning at 7:10am, companies 47,17,52, AMB 52 and Medic 100A were dispatched to 1300-BLK of Elson Road, (Toby Farms section) for a carbon monoxide alarm. Crews arrived on location and investigated. Crews discovered that it was a bad battery in the detector. All companies were placed available by 47 command.
Building Fire Investigation
Yesterday, 7/28/2019, at 9:30 pm, Companies 47,81,17,52 RIT39 and Duty Engine 40 were dispatched to Bridgeview Senior Living Apartments for a building fire. Crews discovered an electrical fire that was caused by a toaster. Crews investigated heat in the walls. No smoke or fire was evident. All companies were placed available by Chief 47.

At 7:14 pm Companies 47, 52, 17 and Duty Engine 39 were dispatched to Astra Foods at 1 McDonald Blvd, in the I95 Industrial Center for a water flow alarm. Engine 17 and Squad 47 arrived on location first to find alarm sounding. Crews investigated the alarm. The entire building was checked. Nothing evident was found for the alarm sounding. All companies were placed available by Chief 47.
47’s night out to Bridgeport Speedway
Last night Rescue 47 went with a crew of four to Bridgeport Speedway for their First Responders Night. During the event, we were allowed to go around the track to celebrate with the fans.
