Officers and Members of Chester Township would like to send our deepest condolences to Officer Senkow’s wife, son, family and friends. Rest In Peace Officer Senkow.
Companies 47 and 52 were dispatched to 1000 block of Powell Rd for a vehicle fire. Engine 52 and Squad 52 went on location to find a riding lawn mower fully involved. Crews from 52 extinguished the fire. Engine 47 responded and assisted with removal of the equipment by the the towing company. Thank you to Company 52 for there quick response.

Companies 47 and 52 were dispatched to Elson Road for a trash fire. Engine 52 arrived on location to find a small trash fire in the rear of the house. Companies were on location for about 30 mins.
Accident with Entrapment
Companies 47, 81 and 17 were dispatched to Commodore Barry Bridge for an accident with entrapment. Battalion Chief 82 arrived on location to find an overturned vehicle. Companies stayed on location to help clean up the scene.
Members trained by deploying and packing the crosslays on the trucks for our weekly Drill Night
For our training night, members went over Engine Company Operations and duties.
Companies 47, 52, 17 , BC 82, 82 and 39 were dispatched to Elson road for a building fire. Companies located the source and stayed on scene to ventilate for approximately an hour.
Assist the Ambulance
Last night Companies 47, 17, 81 and BC 82 were dispatched to the Highland motel to assist the ambulance.
HAZMAT Fuel Spill
Companies 47 and 52 were dispatched to Elson Road for fuel spill. Engine 47 went responding with Chief 47 as OIC. Crews from 47 and 52 investigated the source of the spill. There was a Small spill located in garage area. Crews ventilated residence and reassesed for any signs of spill or odors from the spill. All crews were placed available.
Water Flow Alarm
On Wednesday night, Companies 47, 52 and 17 were dispatched to Commerce Drive for a water flow alarm. Engine 47 went responding with Chief 47 as OIC. Crews from 47, 52 and 17 checked entire building for source of alarm activation, and Checked the pump house. No issues were found during investigation. All companies were placed available.
Company 47 and 52 were dispatched to Powell Road for an odor investigation. Crews located the source. Crew from Engine 47 placed a positive pressure ventilation fan in service to help clear the odor. Crews were on scene for approximately 2 hours.
